here's a little ticker action - this week's measurements included (lost 2.4lbs)! i am halfway to my 10% goal! rawwwr!

in other news i celebrated my 1st b-day as a married woman on thursday quite nicely! my darling husband baked a lime cheesecake and a carrot cake (which i took to the office and according to my co-workers it was the best they've ever had - i didn't try any)...he took me out to sushi and we had this exceptional and just wonderful meal there. we sampled baby octopus and seaweed salad and had the asahi, dynamite, mango hawaii, and the dragon roll plus some out of this world nigiri - the yellowtail was exceptional. we also got a ton of stuff on the house - on top of that was the banana tempura...man alive! so to stay within any reasonable points this week i skipped the cheesecake that night, but had it yesterday and it was by far the best and creamiest lime cheesecake that ever happened to this world! amazing! i only had one slice, as i agreed on with myself - i will have the sushi dinner and the ONE slice of cheesecake and make sure the points allow it and that's that...i am not touching it anymore and he knows that. my parents are coming tomorrow, so there, we'll have cheesecake for them. i am also bringing in some for peggy on tuesday - my friend that works at our other office - since i'll have meetings all day there. my honey REALLY knows how to cook and bake! i was crying last night when i realized that i have a husband that makes the meanest cheesecake in the world and i can't have as much of it as i want to...BUT on the other side, it's ok, i don't have to have cheesecake all the time and it's perfectly fine to have a slice on special occasions and budget for the 18 points that slice has...

....aaaaaaand as my birthday present from my husband i got THIS !!!!

wheeeee! i love it, love it, love it!

oh, our thank-you notes finally got printed - there's a lot of card writing in my future, baby!

this is the first time i got something so very new and expensive for my b-day, so alone because of that i am handling it with superextraheavyduty care. it looks so very fragile, as tiny as it is, so that adds to me handling it as if it were made out of sea foam...however, even though it's a lightweight, it rocks (pun very much intended! ;) ) and it's awesome! it can run for about 14 hrs on one fully charged battery and holds some 1000 songs...beautiful sound quality, too! i so very much prefer it to any other portable music device i ever owned! one of the big reasons i got it was so i can take it to the gym. i have yet to test the shock resistance, but i am very sure it's really, really good!

just checked with husband, and he confirmed what i was thinking. schock resistance = non-issue, since there are really no moving parts inside...
